Ledbury Estate*

This project, now under construction, is the redevelopment of a 1970s housing estate in South London, delivering 340 new homes—224 of which replace existing residences. Spanning two sites, the design introduces mix-tenured homes across a range of sizes and typologies, with a 14-story tower along Old Kent Road serving as a focal point and landmark. Cadence worked on the design and documentation of this project while at Karakusevic Carson Architects in London.

Community engagement around new sports facilities

Community engagement has been central to the project from the outset. In 2021, residents voted to replace rather than refurbish the estate, following reports of structural issues. Engagement events continued throughout the design and documentation phases.
